Contemporary Kitchen – Portskewett

The Start:

Our customers spent a lot of time in their kitchen-diner and wanted to create a comfortable space which incorporated lots of light, curves and plenty of modern technology. Their standout request? A beautiful breakfast bar area with television for catching up with the sport channels!

Middle:

Sean consulted with the clients to create a modern workable kitchen. An existing (very stylish) wine cooler unit and range cooker were incorporated in the design along with a new large American style fridge, shelving, lighting (including subtle plinth and under-cupboard lighting), designer radiator and solid oak work surfaces – perfect for the modern look.

Sean used remnants of the oak worksurface to create ‘floating’ shelves – with one designed specifically to fit a corner to house the client’s new digital radio. We also created a wall mounted television area with all the Sky channels for our sports-mad client. Electric points with subtle and accessible switches were planned well in advance to ensure all the customer’s needs were covered as discreetly as possible. All this was highlighted by the installation of tri-fold wooden doors bringing the garden into the kitchen and creating lots of light.

The Finish:

All the customer’s requirements were met and more! New and existing demands were incorporated in a stylish and contemporary way with a flawless finish. We know for sure that they loved our work, as they invited us back to work on their new bathroom.
