Structural reinforcement and ground stabilisation are sometimes required during landscaping and in these two projects, we used both stone buttresses and gabion baskets to support existing ground and prevent further erosion.
The garden in this grade II listed house presented our client with a safety issue, where an old quarry face abutted the rear and side elevation of their property. There was a fear of stone falling onto the lower roof area, so in order to prevent damage to the property Sean constructed interlocking, stainless steel wire buttress cages which were faced with natural stone and then backfilled, creating a highly practical, yet aesthetically pleasing solution to the problem.
